Apple unveiled its first foldable, the iPhone Duo, at its September event. The device features a 7.6-inch inner screen, a 5.4-inch cover display, and starts at $1,999.

Duolingo quickly posted, "They named a phone after me and made it bend over," while Samsung followed with "Making us wait? Fine. We'll be over here, folding 3 ways." Samsung also mocked the Duo's bedside clock mode as "giving groundhog day."

The iPhone Duo is heavier than the Galaxy Z Fold 8 by roughly 53g and thicker at 5.3mm. Apple reworked its software for the foldable, keeping key buttons vertical on the right side.

Pre-orders begin October 16, with release on October 23. The phone comes in Star White and Night Sky colors.
