Matt Weston and Tabby Stoecker delivered Team GB's second gold medal of a historic Super Sunday at the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics. The British duo claimed victory in the mixed team skeleton event at the Cortina Sliding Centre, combining Weston's men's gold from Friday with Stoecker's fifth-place women's finish to secure Olympic glory.

Weston, already a dominant men's champion, faced pressure to become the first British athlete to win two medals at the same Winter Games. The 32-year-old delivered under pressure, overcoming a deficit in the second run to reel in German competitors Susanne Kreher and Axel Jungk. The British pair finished in 1:59.36, edging the German team by 0.17 seconds in a thrilling conclusion.

This victory marks Team GB's third gold medal at a single Winter Olympics, surpassing their previous record. The success follows earlier mixed snowboard achievements on the same day, showcasing Britain's growing strength in sliding sports. Fellow Britons Marcus Wyatt and Freya Tarbit narrowly missed the podium, finishing fourth as the second German team claimed bronze.
