Tottenham Hotspur have agreed an £85m deal with Manchester City to sign Savinho. Spurs will pay an initial £75m for the Brazil international, with a further £10m in add-ons, of which £5m are effectively guaranteed. The winger is set to undergo a medical ahead of completing his move to north London.

Spurs are also continuing talks with City over a separate deal for striker Omar Marmoush as they look to strengthen attacking options further. Tottenham have already spent more than £200m on six first-team players this summer, including Sandro Tonali and Matheus Fernandes for a combined £185m, and Jan Paul van Hecke from Brighton for £52m.

Savinho started only seven of his 24 Premier League appearances last season, scoring once with two assists. Sky Sports News' Michael Bridge explained Spurs' spending power: the club is in great financial health after qualifying for Europe in 18 of the last 20 seasons, with stadium revenue driving huge income. Deloitte Money League ranks Tottenham ninth richest globally with annual revenues of £549.2m.

Ben Ransom noted both players are surplus to requirements at City under Enzo Maresca, who won't stand in their way if acceptable offers arrive. However, City would need to replace them with less than a fortnight remaining in the transfer window.
