Tottenham sign Savinho for £75m from Man City

Tottenham have agreed a £75m fee to sign 22‑year‑old winger Savinho from Manchester City, with a further £10m in add‑ons. The Brazilian will undergo a medical before signing a long‑term deal with Spurs.

The move inserted after a 12‑month pursuit, during which Spurs missed a summer bid. Savinho stayed at Etihad but had limited game time under Pep Guardiola, making only seven Premier League starts last season. Tottenham’s head coach Roberto de Zerbi has already spent £185m on midfielders Mateus Fernandes and Sandro Tonali, so he turned to the attack.

The transfer will push Spurs’ summer spending past £300m, though the club has recouped approximately £140m from the sales of Cristian Romero, Djed Spence and Luka Vuskovic. Talks are also progressing for City teammate Omar Marmoush and Liverpool forward Cody Gakpo, but finances may constrain those moves.

Savinho’s arrival means Tottenham kick off the Premier League campaign at Brentford on Saturday, while City host Bournemouth on Sunday.
