Jannik Sinner completed his Career Golden Masters by defeating Casper Ruud in straight sets at the Italian Open, becoming only the second player to win all nine ATP Masters 1000 titles. The 24-year-old is the youngest to achieve this feat, with Novak Djokovic accomplishing it at 31. The victory extended his winning streak to 29 matches.

Sinner is now 17-0 on clay this season and the first Italian man to win the Rome tournament since Adriano Panatta in 1976. His dominance has made him the clear favorite heading into Roland Garros—the only major still missing from his collection. Laura Robson told Sky Sports: "You go down the list and no one else looks anywhere near his level at the moment." Tim Henman praised his completeness, saying the achievement "emphasises how good, how complete he is."

Sinner hasn't lost since February and shows no signs of fatigue even in grueling matches. Robson observed: "He doesn't have dips" — rarely making unforced errors or losing focus. With two Australian Opens, Wimbledon, and the US Open already secured, Sinner enters the French Open starting May 24 as the overwhelming favorite to complete the career Grand Slam.
