England have added three uncapped backs to Steve Borthwick’s Nations Championship training camp. Bristol centre Benhard Janse van Rensburg joins Saracens youngster Charlie Bracken and Northampton Saints prodigy Archie McParland as the squad prepares for a July 4 opener in Johannesburg. Van Rensburg’s five‑year residency will finish on July 8, making him eligible just after the South Africa clash.

Lock George Martin also makes the list, earning his first call‑up since February 2025 after a 14‑month spell on the treatment table for knee and shoulder problems. Saracens winger Noah Caluori, who has been crossing the try line in every competition this season, remains in the mix. Notable omissions are Bath’s Ollie Lawrence and Henry Arundell, dropped for form rather than injury.

The expanded roster gives Borthwick additional options ahead of a gruelling six‑match programme that pits England against South Africa, Fiji, Argentina, Australia, Japan and New Zealand. With the residency deadline looming, Van Rensburg could debut against Fiji on July 11, while the return of Martin bolsters the lock department. England now head into their first test with a deeper bench and fresh talent ready to prove themselves.
