British boxer Raven Chapman underwent emergency surgery for a brain bleed after collapsing during a sparring session in Denmark on July 24. She was airlifted to a local hospital and diagnosed with a brain haematoma and cerebral oedema. Chapman immediately had surgery to stop the bleeding and stabilise swelling, before being placed in a medically induced coma. She has since been taken off sedatives and is awaiting medically supervised repatriation to a hospital in the UK for rehabilitation.

Chapman's management team shared an update, stating her doctors are doing everything possible to support her recovery. Her family are in Denmark with her. The team asked for privacy during this challenging time.

In 2024, Chapman challenged Skye Nicolson for the WBC world featherweight title, losing by unanimous decision. Nicolson commented on the news, saying she was praying for a speedy recovery. Frank Warren, founder of Queensberry Promotions and former manager of Chapman, also shared his support, hoping she pulls through and returns home safely.
