The Senegalese government has called for an international investigation into alleged corruption at the Confederation of African Football after Morocco was awarded the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations title despite losing the final. Senegal beat Morocco 1-0 in January's final in Rabat, but Caf overturned the result after Senegal players walked off in protest of a stoppage-time penalty.

Following an appeal by the Moroccan FA, Caf ruled that Senegal forfeited the match, recording a 3-0 win for Morocco. The Senegalese government called the decision "manifestly erroneous" and "grossly illegal," rejecting what it called an "unjustified attempt at dispossession." The Senegalese Football Federation announced it would appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, calling the ruling "unprecedented and unacceptable."

Former Caf disciplinary head Raymond Hack questioned the decision, suggesting political interference since Morocco's FA president is Caf's first vice-president. The controversy has sparked outrage across Africa, with critics saying Caf's actions bring discredit to African football. Senegal's players have indicated they won't relinquish their winners' medals, with midfielder Idrissa Gueye stating on social media: "We know what we experienced that evening in Rabat. And no-one can take that away from us."
