MI London, formerly Oval Invincibles, commenced their pursuit of a fourth consecutive Hundred title with a commanding seven-wicket victory over Sun Risers Leeds at The Kia Oval.

Despite an early wobble in their chase of 144, a spectacular unbeaten 93-run partnership between Sam Curran (60no) and Nicholas Pooran (58no) secured the win with 16 balls remaining. Sun Risers Leeds, previously the Northern Superchargers, were bowled out for 143, with Mitchell Marsh (41) and Ryan Rickleton (25) the top scorers, while Richard Gleeson took four wickets for MI London.

The new-look competition, featuring name and kit changes due to overseas investment, saw MI London demonstrate their championship pedigree. Sam Curran, who also captained the side, expressed confidence in his ability to read the game, while Man of the Match Pooran emphasized the importance of a positive approach and securing the win.
