England's Lottie Woad grabbed her second LPGA title by holding off the chasing pack over the final round at the Kroger Queen City Championship in Ohio. Entering the last day three shots clear at Maketewah Country Club, Woad birdied her first two holes before a double-bogey at the sixth briefly handed momentum to rivals. A birdie at the par-five ninth and another at the 17th steadied her nerves, with a one-under 69 sealing a two-shot victory.

Woad finished on 12 under par ahead of Haeran Ryu, who stormed into contention with five birdies in a seven-hole stretch during her 67. AIG Women's Open champion Miyu Yamashita settled for third, three strokes back, while China's Ruoning Yin followed in fourth. Former world No 1 Jin Young Ko fired a 65 to share fifth with Amanda Doherty, and world No 1 Nelly Korda carded a 67 to tie for eighth.

"This one is definitely a little sweeter than the first one because I wasn't really expecting that," Woad said, referencing her ISPS Handa Scottish Open win. Defending champion Charley Hull trailed to a tied-40th finish. On the Ladies European Tour, Leonie Harm captured her maiden title at the Amundi German Masters, birdying the last two holes to edge Casandra Alexander by one shot.
