Former British No 1 Laura Robson is preparing for the London Marathon on April 26 after an intense training schedule that took her from Melbourne to Milan Cortina. The tennis analyst and presenter has been balancing her broadcasting duties with marathon preparation, running in extreme conditions from the Australian Open heat to sub-zero temperatures at the Winter Olympics.

Robson admits the training has been challenging, describing it as 'brutal' while juggling her Sky Sports commitments. Her Garmin and Strava predict a sub-3:30 finish, though she's aiming for a more realistic sub-3:40 time. The 26.2-mile course will take her past London landmarks including the Cutty Sark, Tower Bridge, and Canary Wharf before finishing on The Mall near Buckingham Palace.

For nutrition, Robson focuses on increased carbohydrate intake with plenty of rice and electrolytes to stay hydrated. She's received pacing advice from Padel partners but wishes she'd had more training partners during her solo runs. Despite the challenges, Robson is motivated by the marathon atmosphere she experienced while supporting a friend last year and looks forward to completing her biggest training week before tapering down for race day.
