St Helens captain Jackson Hastings faces an uncertain season after receiving a three-match ban for violent conduct. Hastings was sent off in the first half of their 36-12 win over Castleford Tigers after punching Tyler Dupree, who also received a sin-bin for the same incident.

Castleford director of rugby Chris Chester told Sky Sports: "Scott Murrell just jumped (in the way of Dupree). We all know the rules, you can't punch people in the face."

The win keeps St Helens' play-off hopes alive, though they sit on 28 points in seventh place with three games remaining. If they fail to overtake Hull KR (30 points), Leigh Leopards (32 points), or Wakefield Trinity (32 points), Hastings will have played his final match of the season.
