Moses Itauma will challenge Filip Hrgovic for the vacant IBF world heavyweight title in London on August 29. The unbeaten British fighter seized the opportunity after Oleksandr Usyk vacated his WBC, WBA, and IBF belts last month. Hrgovic, a Croatian standout, enters with notable wins over Zhilei Zhang and Joe Joyce, though he suffered a loss to Daniel Dubois in 2024.

Itauma, 21, has dominated with 14 knockouts, including a brutal stoppage of Jermaine Franklin in March. The winner faces Frank Sanchez, the IBF No. 1 contender, who secured his shot with a second-round knockout of Richard Torrez Jr. in May.
