The coach placed responsibility squarely on himself and his players, refusing to make excuses about World Club Challenge fatigue. "There are no excuses for that," Peters stated, insisting the team must examine why several players were "not themselves." He challenged individuals to look inward and improve, warning that if such performances become the template, "we are in for a long season."
