Hearts returned to the top of the Scottish Premiership after a 2-2 draw with bottom-side Livingston, Shankland's 24th-minute equaliser salvaging a point despite a frustrating start and a late red card. The Jambos were chasing Rangers' weekend win and were stunned by a five-minute opener from Livingston. Lawrence Shankland, playing his first start since January, headed in the equaliser before half-time in wild weather. Hearts thought they had the win when Claudio Braga headed in, but Lewis Smith levelled for Livingston. Marc Leonard was then red-carded for denying Robbie Muirhead a clear chance in stoppage time.

Hearts now lead Rangers by one point with six games left, while Livingston remain 11 points adrift at the bottom.
