Fury previously blamed Joshua for delays and even floated a trilogy fight with Oleksandr Usyk, while Joshua's camp insisted the bout be held in Britain.

Now, Turki Alalshikh confirmed the fight via X, writing: "The time for talking is over." Cardiff Council confirmed the bout will take place in the "early hours" of Saturday morning to cater to US television audiences. The event will be shown globally on Netflix. Fury and Joshua will face off at a press conference in London on Wednesday, September 30.

Both fighters quickly reposted the promotional image to social media. Joshua shared a cryptic message beforehand, hinting at his influence behind the scenes. The official statement namechecked Alalshikh, The Ring, and Dana White, but notably omitted Fury and Joshua's longtime promoters, Frank Warren and Eddie Hearn.

The organisers promised a "star-studded undercard" to be announced later. White emphasized the significance of the fight, noting both fighters bring 66 wins, 52 knockouts, and multiple heavyweight world titles into the ring.
