All-rounder James Coles has earned his maiden England T20 call-up for the series against India. England selector Marcus North praised Coles' performances with the England Lions and in T20 competitions globally over the past year.

The squad includes recalls for Jordan Cox, Sonny Baker, and Saqib Mahmood following their omission from the 2026 T20 World Cup squad. Brydon Carse and Jamie Overton are sidelined through injury. England play five T20Is against India across Durham, Manchester, Nottingham, Bristol, and Southampton from July 1-11, with the first ODI following on July 14.

Coles' promotion rewards consistent domestic form and adds all-round capability to England's T20 options.
