Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso's arrival has generated excitement, but questions remain about whether he's addressing key issues at Stamford Bridge. After a mixed, goal-filled start to his tenure, Sky Sports podcast hosts Peter Smith, James Savundra, and David Richardson assess Alonso's project. The panel analyzes key summer transfers that have shaped the squad, discusses criticisms from Alonso and players about the team's mentality, and praises the attacking football on display.
They also review the exit of co-owners Todd Boehly and Mark Walter, which has granted Clearlake Capital and Behdad Eghbali near-full control of the club.
