On Monday, February 2, the EFL announced it will roll out Deal Sheets for the first time, mirroring the Premier League’s system. Clubs can now submit a finalised transfer or loan agreement between 5 pm and 7 pm, gaining an extra two hours to complete paperwork before the January deadline for teams this.

To use a Deal Sheet, both buying and selling clubs, plus the player, must agree on terms before the window closes. Once submitted via the Football Administration System, clubs have until 9 pm to file all documents to the FA, FIFA Transfer Matching System, and the EFL for final registration today.

Rob Dorsett reports that most EFL clubs welcomed the move, hoping it will smooth late‑day negotiations and reduce last‑minute chaos. The new rule applies only to transfers within the EFL; moves to the Premier League still rely on the Premier League’s own Deal Sheet system for players and clubs today.
