AirTag owners looking to avoid frequent battery changes can snag Elevation Lab's extended battery case for just $16 during Presidents' Day sales. The case typically sells for $23, making this a solid 30 percent discount. While not the first time this deal has appeared, it remains one of the more compelling AirTag accessories for specific use cases.

This bulky case isn't designed for everyday carry items like wallets or keychains, as it lacks a keyring hole and adds significant bulk. Instead, it's ideal for items like suitcases or backpacks where you won't need to access the tracker for years. The case requires two AA batteries and can extend AirTag battery life to as much as 10 years when using Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries. For comparison, standard AirTags use a CR2032 button cell that lasts about a year.

The case offers additional benefits beyond longevity, including IP69 waterproof rating and four-screw sealing for enhanced protection. Its nondescript design may also help prevent theft detection. However, the sealed design muffles the AirTag's sound to about two-thirds of its normal volume, though the louder second-generation AirTag helps mitigate this issue somewhat.
