Transfer Deadline Day Dates Around the World

The Premier League and EFL clubs face a transfer deadline of 19:00 GMT on Monday, February 2nd. This same deadline applies to leagues in France, Italy, and Germany. The timing is designed to give clubs sufficient time to complete deals and submit all necessary documentation without extending the process into the late hours. Any late deals require a 'deal sheet'.

Spain, Belgium, and Scotland have later deadlines, closing at 22:59 GMT and 23:00 GMT, respectively. Additionally, the Saudi Pro League window also closes on Monday. Players seeking moves have further options. Portugal and the Netherlands' windows remain open until Tuesday, February 3rd. Turkey and Greece allow transfers until February 6th, while Serbia's window closes on February 13th.

Switzerland's window stays open until February 16th. Major League Soccer in the United States has a later deadline on March 26th. The Women's Super League and Super League 2 also close on February 3rd. Following the deadline, Premier League teams must submit their squad lists for the season by February 5th.

The early deadline is to allow clubs to maintain regular working hours, avoiding late-night deal completions. While deals can still be submitted after the deadline, a 'deal sheet' must be submitted beforehand. This process gives clubs a two-hour grace period to finalize all paperwork. This ensures smoother operations during the transfer window.
