England batsman Ben Duckett has admitted there are "no excuses" for his behaviour during the Ashes tour, where a video emerged showing him seemingly drunk during a team beach break in Noosa. The 31-year-old averaged just 20.20 in Australia with a top score of 42 as England suffered a 4-1 defeat.

Duckett has pulled out of an IPL deal with Delhi Capitals to focus on red-ball cricket with Nottinghamshire ahead of the summer Test series against New Zealand. Speaking to Sky Sports News, he acknowledged the challenges of being in the public eye but stressed that his actions were unacceptable regardless of the demanding schedule.

Reflecting on his poor performance, Duckett said he was "very disappointed" with his campaign but refused to dwell on it. He emphasized the need to prolong his career through improved fitness and professionalism, stating he wants his England career to end due to lack of runs rather than injuries or off-field issues.
