Scotland head coach Steve Clarke has signed a four-year contract extension until the 2030 World Cup, becoming the nation's longest-serving manager. The 62-year-old already holds the record for most Scotland matches managed with 76 and has guided the team to more major tournaments than any predecessor. This deal provides clarity before the World Cup campaign.

Clarke pledged to lead a "natural evolution" rather than "revolution" after disappointing Euro performances. His goal is to become the first manager to guide Scotland beyond the group stages of a major tournament. The team begins World Cup play against Haiti and Morocco in Boston before facing Brazil in Miami.

Scotland's World Cup fixtures begin June 14 against Haiti, followed by Morocco on June 19 and Brazil on June 24. Clarke considered a return to club management but chose to continue with Scotland, emphasizing squad stability. The extension takes him beyond his 66th birthday.
