Brighton have completed the club-record signing of Luka Vuskovic from Tottenham in a deal worth up to £50m, comprising £46m guaranteed plus £4m in achievable add-ons. The 19-year-old Croatia international joins after spending last season on loan at Hamburg.

Spurs have inserted a 20 per cent sell-on clause and matching rights, allowing them potential future re-acquisition. Vuskovic and his representatives made clear his desire for regular first-team football at a permanent club, which Tottenham could not guarantee following summer signings of Marcos Senesi and Jan Paul Van Hecke, adding to existing options Cristian Romero, Kevin Danso and Micky van de Ven.

Vuskovic departs as Spurs' fourth-biggest sale after Harry Kane, Gareth Bale and Kyle Walker. Meanwhile, Inter Milan are interested in Tottenham and England full-back Djed Spence as a replacement for Denzel Dumfries, with Everton also internally discussing a move.
