England legend Andrew Flintoff has been named head coach of Sydney Thunder for the upcoming BBL season. Flintoff replaces Trevor Bayliss, who departed after five years and a pair of last‑place finishes. The move comes as Thunder look to reverse a streak of poor results and rebuild a competitive squad for Australia's league competition today.

Flintoff brings experience from coaching the England Lions tour of Australia and two seasons with the Northern Superchargers in The Hundred.
