Florian Wirtz delivered a masterclass performance, scoring twice and assisting twice as Germany rallied from behind to defeat Switzerland 4-3 in a thrilling friendly at St Jakob Park. The Liverpool forward's late winner capped a dramatic comeback after Switzerland had taken a 2-1 lead into halftime.

Dan Ndoye opened the scoring for Switzerland in the 17th minute, but Jonathan Tah equalized 26 minutes later from a Wirtz corner. Breel Embolo restored the home side's advantage before halftime, only for Serge Gnabry to level in stoppage time. Wirtz then put Germany ahead with a curling effort from the edge of the box in the 61st minute.

Joel Monteiro appeared to have salvaged a draw for Switzerland with a 20-yard strike, but Wirtz had the final say five minutes from time. The 21-year-old cut inside from the right and curled a precise shot into the far corner, completing his dominant display and securing the victory for the visitors.
