Gotham FC has signed Norwegian midfielder Guro Reiten on loan from Chelsea, marking a significant acquisition for the defending NWSL champions. The 29-year-old creative playmaker joins the New Jersey club on an initial loan through July, with a pre-contract already in place for a permanent move through 2029.

Reiten's arrival comes as Chelsea sits third in the Women's Super League, nine points behind Manchester City. The Norwegian international has seen reduced playing time this season, making the move to Gotham an attractive option. At Chelsea, she registered 59 goals and 44 assists in 207 appearances across all competitions, helping the Blues win six league titles, four FA Cups, and three League Cups.
