Yan Diomande has departed RB Leipzig's preseason camp to finalize his transfer to Real Madrid, sources informed ESPN. The Ivorian winger is set to complete a deal potentially worth up to €140 million ($188 million), comprising a €125 million fee and €15 million in add-ons. This move, if bonuses are met, would surpass previous club records.

Sources indicated that Real Madrid anticipated concluding the deal sooner, but it was delayed, with speculation pointing to player representation issues. The 19-year-old has attracted significant interest following a strong Bundesliga season where he scored 12 goals and provided eight assists. He also impressed for the Ivory Coast in the World Cup.

Diomande's rapid ascent has seen him progress from DME Academy to Leganes, then RB Leipzig, and now on the cusp of joining Real Madrid within two years. Paris Saint-Germain was also a strong contender for his signature before Madrid emerged as the frontrunner.
