Barcelona is on the verge of signing forward Karim Adeyemi from Borussia Dortmund, according to sources. The clubs are finalizing an agreement worth an initial €22 million ($25 million), with an additional €7 million ($7.9 million) in potential add-ons. Dortmund will also receive a percentage of any future transfer profit.

This move would mark Barcelona's second summer signing, following the €70 million ($78 million) acquisition of Anthony Gordon. Coach Hansi Flick, who previously worked with Adeyemi on the German national team, requested the attacking overhaul. Adeyemi, 24, scored 36 goals in 146 appearances for Dortmund.

The signings of Adeyemi and Gordon are independent of Barcelona's continued pursuit of a No. 9, with Julián Álvarez remaining a target to replace Robert Lewandowski. This offensive restructuring aims to bolster a front line that includes Lamine Yamal and Raphinha.
