Al Nassr has sent Colombian striker Jhon Durán on loan to Russian club Zenit St. Petersburg until the end of the season. The 22-year-old forward, who joined Al Nassr from Aston Villa for a reported £64 million ($80 million) in October, struggled to establish himself in Saudi Arabia after being sent off in just his fourth appearance.

Durán's career has been marked by frequent moves across multiple leagues. He first gained recognition at Aston Villa as a prolific super-sub, scoring six goals early in the 2024-25 season despite making only one start. His impressive form led to a contract extension until 2030, but just three months later he made the high-profile move to Al Nassr to join Cristiano Ronaldo.

This marks Durán's sixth professional club in a career that began with Envigado in Colombia, included a stint with Chicago Fire in MLS, and saw him score five goals in 21 appearances during a loan spell at Fenerbahçe earlier this season. The loan to Zenit represents another opportunity for the young striker to find consistent playing time and rebuild his reputation after a challenging period in Saudi Arabia.
