The Tennessee Titans released starting center Lloyd Cushenberry III and starting safety Xavier Woods on Wednesday. Cushenberry was designated with a failed physical, ending his tenure with the team after seven seasons.

The seven-year veteran, entering the third year of a four-year, $50 million contract signed in 2024, was limited to eight games in 2024 due to a torn Achilles tendon and missed significant time in 2025 recovering from a similar injury. The $50 million deal made him one of the NFL's highest-paid centers. Woods, a two-year, $8 million free agent acquisition last March, saw his 2025 season cut short by a hamstring injury after starting 11 games. The $8 million contract was his latest stop after stints with the Cowboys, Vikings, and Panthers.
