Zul-Qarnain Kwame Nantambu, 41, was found guilty of resisting an officer Monday after sprinting across the field during Kendrick Lamar's Super Bowl halftime show in February 2025. Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill confirmed the verdict, stemming from Nantambu hoisting a Sudanese flag reading "Sudan and Free Gaza" while dashing across the Caesars Superdome stage.

Nantambu, one of several dancers in black outfits, deviated from his assigned role and jumped off a prop vehicle despite law enforcement commands to stop. Chief Judge Juana Marine-Lombard convicted him only of the misdemeanor resisting charge. He faces up to $500 in fines and six months in prison, with sentencing set for June 1.

The guilty verdict caps a case that drew attention beyond the NFL. Nantambu is also the victim in a separate shooting outside a Miami celebrity boxing event in May 2025, where former NFL player Antonio Brown faces attempted murder charges. Brown's trial is set for January 2027.
