Washington Commanders QB Jayden Daniels was caught singing along to music during practice while wearing a GoPro on his helmet. The device, attached to help coaches see the game from the quarterback's vantage point, is now used by six teams this summer: the Miami Dolphins, Cleveland Browns, Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Eagles, and New England Patriots. The technology allows coaches to review communication on the field, protection calls, and player body language.

Cleveland first-year coach Todd Monken called the camera a "valuable tool" for his young quarterbacks. Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid declined to use the tech, preferring his traditional view from 10 yards back. Former NFL QB Nathan Peterman used a GoPro at Pitt in 2015-2016.

The Miami Dolphins and Pittsburgh Steelers experimented with helmet cameras in 2023, and the Eagles used one as early as 2016. Deshaun Watson of the Browns said the perspective helps him study offensive player responses. Malik Willis of the Dolphins is using the device for the first time after signing as a free agent.

The trend marks the most widespread NFL adoption of GoPro cameras on quarterbacks to date.
