Garrett Wilson feels more free to be himself after shifting back to outside receiver for the New York Jets. In the season opener, he lined up as a slot receiver on only 4 of 46 plays (9%), down from 29% in his first four seasons. Wilson requested more outside snaps from coach Aaron Glenn and new offensive coordinator Frank Reich, citing it's 'back to my roots' and gives him more space to operate one-on-one with corners.

The 1,000-yard receiver in each of his first three seasons enjoyed showing his natural game in the 6-79 performance, catching five passes for 73 yards on the outside. 'It makes that film when I go home a lot more simple. Did you beat that DB? Did you finish the play?' Wilson said.

The Jets look to improve to 2-0 for the first time since 2015 with a home win over the Green Bay Packers, with Wilson emphasizing they want to 'earn our respect in this league' through good football weekly.
