The Philadelphia Eagles are signing tight end Zach Ertz to their practice squad, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Monday evening. Starter Dallas Goedert is likely to miss a few weeks with a sprained MCL sustained in Sunday's win over the Tennessee Titans.

Injuries have hit the tight end room hard. Rookie Eli Stowers (quad/hamstring) and veteran Grant Calcaterra (back) are on injured reserve. Johnny Mundt and E.J. Jenkins are the only healthy tight ends on the 53-man roster, both primarily blockers.

Ertz, a 14-year veteran, is 11 receptions shy of breaking the franchise record (Harold Carmichael, 589). He's been working back from an ACL tear sustained in December and is said to be in good health. Ertz, 35, spent his first eight-plus years in Philadelphia before being traded to the Arizona Cardinals in October 2021. He made all three Pro Bowls with the Eagles and helped them win Super Bowl LII in 2017.

Goedert, 31, had one catch for 4 yards before leaving Sunday's game. He is coming off career highs of 60 receptions and 11 touchdowns in 2025.
