Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson was cited for speeding on an interstate in August. According to court records and Fox8 reporting, Watson was allegedly driving 86 mph in a 60 mph zone on I-480 on August 26. He pleaded not guilty Wednesday morning.

A bench trial is scheduled for September 23, four days before the Browns' home opener against the Carolina Panthers. Watson, 30, was named the Week 1 starter after a training camp competition with Shedeur Sanders. This will be Watson's first regular-season start since tearing an Achilles tendon in October 2024.

The Browns open the season at the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.
