Five‑time All‑Pro wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins has joined Georgia Tech as assistant wide receivers coach, announced by head coach Brent Key.

Key highlighted Hopkins’ deep offensive knowledge from his long relationship with offensive coordinator George Godsey and his strong familiarity with the ACC. He praised Hopkins as a leader who will positively impact players on and off the field.

Hopkins said he is not closing the door on a return to the NFL. "I haven’t retired from the @NFL…" he wrote on X, adding that he’d welcome any WR interested in greatness to join the Georgia Tech football program.

The 34‑year‑old finished a disappointing 2025 season with the Baltimore Ravens, posting career lows of 22 catches for 330 yards. His career totals still rank 17th all‑time with 1,006 receptions, 13,295 yards and 85 touchdowns across six teams.
