Wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. met with the New York Giants and new coach John Harbaugh during the recent NFL meetings in Phoenix, sources confirmed. The 33-year-old free agent, who did not play last season, made his pitch to team management regarding a potential return to the franchise where his career began. While interest exists within the Giants organization, no agreement appears close to being finalized at this time.

General Manager Joe Schoen made clear that a workout session would likely precede any actual contract offer, given Beckham's year-long absence from the field. Beckham currently resides and trains in Arizona, making the commute convenient for these discussions at the Biltmore. The receiver has been vocally enthusiastic about reuniting with the Giants, an organization that has recently added other receiving talent like Darnell Mooney and Calvin Austin III.

Harbaugh, who coached Beckham during the 2023 season in Baltimore where he tallied 35 catches for 565 yards and three scores, holds a positive relationship with the player. Support for the move also reportedly comes from within the Giants locker room; quarterback Jaxson Dart and wide receiver Malik Nabers, an LSU product with a prior connection to Beckham, have voiced approval to the team brass.

Separately, former Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul also publicly advocated for a return, citing his pursuit of 94.5 career sacks. While the Giants appear open to pursuing any player who helps, Beckham’s reunion hinges on proving his current ability, likely through a planned workout, securing Harbaugh's ultimate approval for the comeback.
