The Tennessee Titans will induct former running back Chris Johnson into their Ring of Honor during halftime of their 2026 season opener on Sunday, Sept. 13, at Nissan Stadium.

This honor follows Johnson's recent announcement that he has been diagnosed with ALS. Titans controlling owner Amy Adams Strunk stated, "Chris Johnson holds a special place in the hearts of our organization and our fans." She added, "His stats speak for themselves, and he will forever remain a leader in our record books, but the man behind the yardage deserves just as much celebration."

Johnson, nicknamed "CJ2K," rushed for 2,006 yards in 2009, an NFL record for yards from scrimmage in a single season with 2,509 (503 receiving yards). He was named NFL Offensive Player of the Year. The Titans drafted him 24th overall in 2008. Johnson played six seasons in Tennessee (2008-2013), surpassing 1,000 rushing yards annually. He ranks fourth in franchise history with 7,965 rushing yards and fourth with 58 total touchdowns. Johnson will be the 20th member of the Titans Ring of Honor.
