Just two days after Larry Fitzgerald was enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, the Arizona Cardinals announced they will retire his No. 11 jersey and induct him into the team's ring of honor this season. The ceremony will take place at halftime of their Week 7 game against the Denver Broncos on Oct. 25.

Fitzgerald, who played all 17 of his NFL seasons with the Cardinals, will be the sixth player in franchise history to have his number retired and the 20th member of the team's ring of honor. The Cardinals selected Fitzgerald with the third pick in the 2004 draft, and he finished his career ranked second in NFL history in receptions and receiving yards.

"No one who has ever worn a Cardinals uniform is more deserving of this honor," Cardinals owner Michael Bidwill said Monday in a statement. "His excellence on the field was only surpassed by the way he represented our team and our community off of it." Fitzgerald is also the franchise leader in receptions, receiving yards, touchdowns and games played.
