Denver Broncos entered the offseason determined to repair the tight‑end gap that left them with just three touchdowns from the position in 2025. Coach Sean Payton highlighted the addition of two rookies — fifth‑round pick Justin Joly and seventh‑rounder Dallen Bentley — alongside veterans Evan Engram, Adam Trautman, Nate Adkins and Lucas Krull.

Joly, a former NC State standout, vowed to play wherever needed, even suggesting a role in the backfield or on defense. Payton praised his physicality and earmarked him as a move‑tight end who could line up in the slot, out wide or in motion. Bentley, a Utah product, offers a more traditional inline skill set, having logged 48 receptions and six touchdowns in his final college season.

Veteran Engram, who logged 50 catches for 461 yards last year, remains the clear leader but acknowledges the unit can produce far more. Payton also singled out former basketball player Caleb Lohner, now a practice‑squad veteran, for his athletic transformation. With a full complement of seven tight ends, the Broncos hope the revamped group will lift them from 26th in receiving yards to a legitimate offensive threat this season.
