Barkley Hates Joint Practices After Eagles-Patriots Sessions

Eagles running back Saquon Barkley expressed his disdain for back-to-back joint practices, stating "I hate joint practices" and that one day would be sufficient to avoid the skirmishes that regularly occur.

Barkley noted that while the work itself can be beneficial, the pushing, shoving, and verbal exchanges that follow often turn immature. He admitted to being a "troublemaker" at times but claimed he behaved well during the recent sessions with the New England Patriots.

Despite Barkley's frustration, several scuffles broke out on the second day, including incidents involving Lane Johnson and Patriots linebacker K.J. Britt. Barkley acknowledged that such altercations are expected after Day 2 of joint practices.

However, the overall assessment from Eagles coaches was positive. Offensive coordinator Sean Mannion saw value in installing the new wide zone scheme, while defensive coordinator Vic Fangio praised the opportunity to face new schemes and players, saying "These things are tremendous."
