Aaron Donald worked out for the Los Angeles Rams on Saturday, marking his second session with the team this training camp as he continues evaluating a potential return from retirement. The workout occurred at the Rams' Woodland Hills facility and was reported on the NFL's transaction report. Head coach Sean McVay reiterated that Donald's decision will come on his own timeline, stating he wants to avoid setting artificial deadlines. "What I don't want is to sit here and do is put a timeline on it, then something comes up where I have to push it back," McVay said after the Rams' preseason opener in Kansas City.

Donald's interest in returning reportedly began after the Rams acquired reigning Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett in early June. His previous workout took place in early August at Loyola Marymount University with defensive line coach Giff Smith, senior vice president of sports medicine and performance Reggie Scott, and senior director of strength and conditioning Justin Lovett. Following that session, McVay noted that the former All-Pro defensive tackle "looked outstanding."

The 33-year-old Donald spent his entire 10-year career with the Rams before announcing his retirement in March 2024. He remains one of the most dominant defensive players in recent NFL history.
