Trae Young Set for Wizards Debut Thursday vs Jazz

Washington Wizards star Trae Young will make his team debut Thursday night at home against the Utah Jazz, sources told ESPN's Shams Charania. Young has been sidelined since December 27 with MCL and quad injuries in his right leg, missing action since being traded from Atlanta on January 7.

Young, a four-time All-Star, has averaged 19.3 points and 8.9 assists in 10 games this season. His debut comes as the Wizards sit at 16-43, deep in a rebuild that saw them acquire both Young and Anthony Davis this season. Davis, traded from the Dallas Mavericks on February 4, has yet to make his Wizards debut.

Thursday's game marks Young's first game action in nearly two months. The Wizards hope these high-profile acquisitions will accelerate their rebuilding process, though both stars have faced injury setbacks since joining the team.
