Victor Wembanyama joined players from both the Spurs and Knicks in condemning violence against San Antonio supporters after Game 3 of the NBA Finals. The Spurs defeated the Knicks 115-111 at Madison Square Garden on Monday, with videos later surfacing showing Knicks fans attacking Spurs supporters in the streets.

Multiple players denounced the fan violence, with Wembanyama stating, "We're just playing a game out there. I am all for passion, but with the respect of each other. It's unacceptable." According to the NYPD, at least 21 people were arrested in various incidents involving fans during the team's time in New York.

Knicks center Karl-Anthony Towns emphasized that "the game is built off of respect and passion," while Spurs forward Julian Champagnie noted he doesn't "feel any threat" walking around Midtown Manhattan. The Spurs spokesman confirmed the team hasn't experienced security issues during its stay in New York.
