New York Knicks star Jalen Brunson will host the Season 50 premiere of "Saturday Night Live" on Sept. 26, with pop group Katyse as musical guest. Brunson, who led the Knicks to their first NBA title in 53 years, was named Finals MVP after a 45-point Game 5 performance against the San Antonio Spurs. The show, which debuted in 1975, has featured many sports icons as hosts, including Bill Russell, Deion Sanders, Derek Jeter, Charles Barkley, Peyton Manning, Travis Kelce, and Tom Brady.

SNL airs live on NBC at 11:30 p.m. ET and streams on Peacock. This marks Brunson's first time hosting the iconic sketch comedy show.
