Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark has no interest in following LeBron James' extreme health regimen. The Los Angeles Lakers legend revealed on his 'Mind the Game' podcast with Steve Nash that he abstained from wine and chocolate chip cookies for two months during the 2025-26 season, starting in November and breaking the fast on New Year's Day.

James, who missed the first 14 games of the season due to injury, said the sacrifice was necessary to maintain his performance at age 41. 'I have to sacrifice something,' he explained, noting he didn't play his first game until November 18 against the Utah Jazz. The 41-year-old is now the longest active player in NBA history with 23 seasons and remains uncertain about playing a 24th season.

Clark's reaction was swift and definitive. 'I'd rather retire than do this. This is why he's him,' she wrote on social media, responding to ESPN's coverage of James' comments. The four-time NBA champion is currently averaging 22 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 7.1 assists while shooting 50.2% from the field this season.
