The Milwaukee Bucks have reached an agreement with free agent guard Cam Thomas, his agent Tony Ronzone of Wasserman confirmed to ESPN. The 24-year-old scorer averaged 21.4 points per game over the past three seasons and provides an immediate offensive upgrade for Milwaukee. Thomas was waived by the Brooklyn Nets last Thursday after signing a one-year, $5.9 million qualifying offer.

Thomas brings elite scoring ability to a Bucks team struggling to find consistent offense without Giannis Antetokounmpo on the floor. Milwaukee's offense has been elite (123.2 points per 100 possessions) with Antetokounmpo playing but ranks among the NBA's worst (109.5) when he sits. The Bucks are currently the 12th seed in the Eastern Conference, two games behind the Hornets for the 10th spot.

Despite his scoring reputation, Thomas has struggled with efficiency this season, shooting just 40% from the field and 33% from three-point range. His addition comes as Antetokounmpo recovers from a right calf strain, with coach Doc Rivers confirming the team has no plans to shut down their franchise star for the remainder of the season. The Bucks explored trading Antetokounmpo before the deadline but ultimately decided to keep him while searching for roster upgrades.

The move represents Milwaukee's aggressive push to salvage their championship window with Antetokounmpo, even as they currently sit outside the play-in tournament picture. Thomas's scoring punch could be crucial for a team that has won three straight games for the first time all season but needs more offensive firepower to compete with the Eastern Conference's elite teams.

Quick Fact: Thomas averaged 24 points and 3.8 assists in 25 games last season.
