Griffin, who returned to the lineup and had two hits post-injury, will wear a splint for approximately six weeks.

This marks the second significant injury for Griffin in his promising rookie season, having previously missed most of June with a strained forearm. He has been a vital contributor, hitting .276 with five home runs, 25 RBIs, and 20 stolen bases in 59 games. Manager Don Kelly acknowledged Griffin's importance but expressed confidence in his ability to overcome the setback.

With Griffin sidelined, Jared Triolo is expected to handle primary shortstop duties.
