Phillies third baseman Alec Bohm filed a lawsuit against his parents, alleging they siphoned millions from his financial accounts. The suit claims Daniel and Lisa Bohm transferred funds from Bohm's personal accounts into LLCs they controlled, then used the money for personal expenses. Bohm discovered the alleged misuse after reviewing his finances and demanding access to the accounts.

Bohm's parents denied wrongdoing through their lawyer Robert Eckard, stating they acted in their son's best interests and have always provided him with full account access. The lawsuit specifically mentions at least $3 million in damages sought by the player. Both parties agree the first account was opened in 2019, with his parents claiming a 10% stake only for administrative purposes.

The 29-year-old Bohm currently plays under a $10.2 million contract with the Phillies for the 2026 season. His parents reportedly live in a recreational vehicle and travel the country. The lawsuit also accuses them of using money from The Alec Bohm Foundation to cover personal expenses. After Philadelphia's season opener, Bohm declined comment on the legal matter.
